Hello ThereI graduated from George Mason University summa cum laude as a member of the Honor College with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design. I am currently a Brand Identity Designer at Alarm.com on the Marketing Team where I work on a wide variety of projects supporting internal departmental requests, subsidiaries, security partner needs, B2B2C advertising, and external marketing efforts.
My style is clean with a focus on the graphic design elements, principles, typography, and use of white space with an emphasis on user experience. The goal of design is to organize content in a way that provides visual appeal while improving overall functionality. I live by the idea that user experience isn't just app design, but it is a part of everything that design touches, from a simple flyer to an elaborate display. With a highly critical eye for detail, every design I touch is scrutinized for things like widows and orphans (single word on a line of text/paragraph column), lines of text ending in weak words (short words like "on," "the," "we," etc.), choosing the correct punctuation between a hyphen/en dash/em dash, and ragged lines (uneven lines of text in a paragraph). All of these small details come together in a big way to enhance projects. When I am not designing, I enjoy spending time with my Goldendoodle, cheering on the Nats at a ballgame, seeing as many concerts as possible (the current count is 89 live performances), and visiting local wineries/breweries. BONUS POINTS: I am a three-time award winning GDUSA designer. |
