Hello ThereI graduated from George Mason University Summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design and as a member of the Honor College. I am currently a Visual Designer at Alarm.com on the marketing team where I work on a wide variety of projects supporting internal departmental requests, subsidiaries, security partner needs, B2B2C advertising, and external marketing efforts. Previously, I was a Multimedia Specialist for PhishMe, a Teaching Assistant at GMU, and the Art Director for GMU's newspaper, Fourth Estate. In the spring of 2018 I wrote and designed my first book, Almost Genius: Everyday Tips and Tricks to Hack Your Life.
My design style is clean with a focus on the graphic design elements, principles, typography, and use of white space. The goal of design is to organize and provide visual appeal to information along with improving overall functionality. I live by the idea that user experience isn't just app design, but is apart of everything that design touches, from a simple flyer to an elaborate display. When I am not designing, I enjoy spending time with my Goldendoodle, Cooper, cheering on the Nats at a ballgame, seeing as many concerts as possible—I have been lucky enough to have seen over 75—and visiting local wineries/breweries. |
